HSBC - Our

Client

For over a century, HSBC’s iconic lion sculptures, Stephen and Stitt, have stood as enduring symbols of strength, protection, and heritage. From their origins in Shanghai in 1923 to their presence across the globe today, they represent more than tradition; they embody the spirit of the bank.

Marking their 100-year milestone, the brief was to bring this legacy to life for a modern audience, to tell a global story that connects history, identity, and place in a way that feels both celebratory and contemporary.

Just a month into my role, I was trusted with bringing this story to life through animation, a responsibility that quickly became a defining moment. When the project hit an unexpected setback on the morning it was due to go live, I didn’t hesitate. I took ownership, reworked the animation in real time, and turned things around within hours. What stood out wasn’t just the speed; it was the calm, the problem-solving, and the determination to get it right. That moment built real trust with my managers and stakeholders, showing them they could rely on me when it counted.

The result became HSBC’s highest-performing LinkedIn design of 2024, reaching over 179,000 views, 8,000+ likes, and 600+ reposts. But more importantly, it marked the moment I proved to myself, and to the team, that I could deliver under pressure and leave a lasting impression.
