Conceptual

Client

During the stillness of the COVID-19 lockdown, I challenged myself to stay creatively active by exploring conceptual typography. This personal project became a space to experiment, think freely, and push the boundaries of how type can communicate beyond words.

This body of work focuses on using negative space, form, and composition to push typography beyond readability into storytelling. Each piece takes a single word and reimagines it as a visual concept, where the design reflects the word’s emotion, function, or deeper meaning.

What started as a way to stay creative during a difficult time quickly became a disciplined exploration of idea-driven design. Every outcome challenged me to think differently—how can type not just say something, but be it?

This series represents more than experimentation; it reflects consistency, curiosity, and creative resilience—turning limitation into an opportunity to grow and refine my visual thinking.
