HSBC x Taylor
Client
For five years, HSBC’s partnership with the Taylor Bennett Foundation has created pathways for ethnic minority talent to break into communications, brand, and public affairs. This film marked that milestone — not just as a celebration, but as a reflection of the voices, journeys, and perspectives shaping the future of the industry.
Following eight young professionals through an intensive eight-week programme, the story needed to feel real, immediate, and personal — capturing not just what they did, but who they are becoming.
I helped shift the lens literally and creatively. From concept through to completion, I worked closely with internal teams and an external agency to shape a film that felt authentic to its audience. One of the defining creative decisions was to hand the camera over to the participants themselves, allowing them to document their own journeys.
That shift brought a raw, Gen Z perspective to the film; honest, unfiltered, and deeply personal. My role spanned support for the creative direction, production process, and storytelling, helping to ensure the final piece stayed true to the voices at its centre.
Seeing the film be shortlisted at the EVCOM London Live & Film Awards and win Bronze at the Lens Awards was a powerful moment, not just for the recognition, but for what the story represents.
